All camps will be determined by registration numbers.  Please register as soon as possible, as our timelines are extremely limited.  Please note that some camps will have waitlists, while others may be canceled.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Players are expected to follow Arena rules, protocols and abide by the CMHA code of conduct.  You are expected to respect the space used and represent Coquitlam Minor Hockey.  Dressing rooms are to be left clean after use and respect the coaches and service providers.  Any disciplinary issues will be reported accordingly.

CMHA DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Jordan Gould:

Jordan grew up playing for CMHA and has been a rep coach with CMHA since 2011.  After coaching all age groups, Jordan has changed his focus from coaching a team and has taken on the TOC role with the goal of building a solid development program for CMHA. Jordan will use his experiences with Canlan, RPM and CMHA Development to plan and implement programs that will challenge the players with a focus on keeping it fun. At the end of the day, Hockey is a game and should be fun.  If you have any questions about the camps, please email him at TOC@coqmha.org.

Ty Babych

Ty started coaching when he was 18. Started off at North Shore Winter Club and worked his way through U11 and U13. Eventually moved to West Vancouver Minor coaching both U13 and U15 AAA taking the U13 team to provincials. Then started working at BC Spartans Spring program working with U15 and U13 for a few years. Ty also worked in a scouting/development role with the Coquitlam Express Junior A club. Now at Coquitlam Minor Ty coached U11 A1 and U13 A1 as well as assisting with development programs like the Mini C’s. Other coaching experiences are Babych Hockey Schools, Planet Hockey Hockey schools, Inside Edge development and NSWC summer development camps. Ty will be running some of the summer development sessions with Jarret and Dave Babych.

Keith Peterson

Keith is a teacher at Centennial Secondary where he has been a part of the RPM Academy for the past 15 years. Keith was also a lead service provider and Rep Coach for CMHA for many years. Keith had to take a step away from coaching and development for a couple years but is excited to get back on the ice and work with our defense at CMHA.

Todd Mckave

Playing experience, played all minor hockey up to U15 in Port Coquitlam. Todd also played one year PCJHL, four years BCHL and two years with the Alaska Gold Kings in the American Senior AAA league. Was a part of the team that won an American Senior AAA National Championship. Todd has over 10 year of experience coaching all levels of minor hockey with CMHA, Tri City Predators and B.W.C.

Scott Walford

During his 5 years in the Western Hockey League, Scott was named to the 2nd Western Conference All-Star Team and had the opportunity to play for Team WHL in the CIBC Summit Series versus Team Russia. The former Montreal Canadiens draft pick currently plays for the McGill Redbirds in USports and has worked alongside many of the best team, skills, and skating coaches in the world. Scott has been able to take lessons from these coaches and begin helping develop skills in young players that junior coaches are looking for.

Ryan Campbell

Ryan has been developing young athletes of all ages for many years and he is a CMHA alumni. He has been providing development and coaching for Coquitlam for the past 5 years. Ryan is currently co-owner of Two Way Hockey School and is looking forward to giving each student correct skills to take their game to the next level.

Ryan Dorohoy

Ryan is entering his 4th year at CMHA. Ryan has been a respected coach in the Lower Mainland and has coached in different associations over the years. He has coached for the BC Blackhawks AAA Spring program for many years as well as Shane Kuss Hockey Schools running camps and training players. Ryan has a tremendous passion for coaching and moving players onto high levels in the game. His experience and knowledge are evident from the moment he starts talking hockey and his enthusiasm is contagious.

Billy MacGillivray

Billy has been coaching power skating and hockey skills in the lower mainland since 1996. He is an excellent service provider and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on to the players. Billy is an excellent addition to the CMHA development team.

Noah Berg

Noah is a graduating CMHA player and has been coaching with CMHA since he was 16. Noah helped Jordan Gould with the U11A1 and U13A1 teams and then moved on to help Ryan Dorohoy with the U13A1 and U15A1 teams. He was also a U18 mentor and service provider with CMHA and Inside Edge. Noah is mature beyond his age and is a great asset to the CMHA development team.

Mike King

Mike is a CMHA Alumni who has been a previous rep coach at CMHA for many years. Mike is one of the lead service providers with RPM and works with a variety of associations as well as the hockey Academies at Riverside and Centennial. Mike is an excellent skills coach and has many years of experience working with all ages in minor hockey.

Jason Mann

Jason has been an on ice service provider and coach with CMHA for the last 10 years. He is a part of the BCHJL and KIJHL Alumni, High Performance Coach 1 certified, BC Hockey Field 1 Evaluator as well as PCAHA coach of the year in 2020-2021. He has been coach coordinator and has coached H1 to U18. His on-ice strengths are power skating and agility as well as hitting clinics.

Goalie Coaches:

Justin Mulholland

Justin is a teacher with SD43 and CMHA Alumni. Justin started 360 Goaltending where he provided goalie development for CMHA as well as a variety of other associations. Justin had to take a step back from the Goalie Development world when he became a teacher, and had a child, but is coming back this summer to help our goalies at CMHA.

Austin Caktas

Austin train clients privately in BC for GoalieCoaches.com, runs holiday camps in Canada and the US with over 300 goalies each year as well as overseeing all goalie development with POCO minor Hockey. Austin Began working as a goaltender development coach in 2016 and has worked in CMHA with Accel Goaltending, 360 Goaltending and now currently with GoalieCoaches.com. He has also been an assistant coach at the U18A1 and U11A1 teams the last 2 seasons.

Charlie Finn

Charlie grew up playing hockey at North Shore Winter Club, played 1 year with the U18 Giants who won the Mac’s tournament that season. He then went on to play 3 years in the OJHL with Kingston Voyageurs where he was nominated for Canadian Junior A goalie of the year his third year there. Charlie played for Team Canada East in the World Junior A challenge and went on to NCAA Div 1 scholarship at Colgate University.  Charlie was a two-time Hobey Baker nominee but due to injuries had to hang the skates up and is looking to pass his experiences on to younger goalies.
