If a player / coach or other official disagrees with a call, there is a Request for Review - Officiating form located here.
This form must be completed and submitted with the statement of the individual the call was made against, a letter of support from coach or if the submission is made by a coach, a letter of support from the Division Coordinator and a copy of the Gamesheet. These documents should be uploaded to the form via the links provided.
This will be reviewed by our RIC who will send to the President with their recommendations. The President will reply to the Complainant.
PCAHA Rules and Regulations, Section K(6) states as follows:
Complaints regarding on-ice officials must be made in writing on Association letterhead and signed by the President (or, in the absence of the President, a Vice-President) or Referee-in-Chief of the Association.
It will then be forwarded to the BC Hockey Officiating Coordinators complete with a copy of the gamesheet. A copy will also be sent to the BC Hockey Office.
The Officiating Coordinator will investigate the complaint and take any action necessary with regards to disciplining officials. Alternatively, if a complaint is found to have embellished or misrepresented events, the Officiating Coordinator will forward the matter on to the appropriate PCAHA Managing Director who will take appropriate disciplinary action against the person(s) responsible.
The purpose of this reporting procedure is to identify officiating problems and allow the people responsible for referee development to take corrective action if warranted.
Please note that we also have a Referee Feedback Form under the Referee Tab and appreciate your time in providing constructive feedback.
