Coach Applications

The Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association (CMHA) is now accepting coach applications for the 2023-2024 season for both Rep and House Teams.

CMHA is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals that meet the required certifications at the applicable level.

CMHA coaches will demonstrate a commitment to the athletes’ physical and mental well being.

Coaches are expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, showcasing a high level of integrity and honesty in working with a wide range of individuals, teams, and organizations.

The roles and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Work with the CMHA Board of Directors / Division Director and Executive Manager on an as needed basis to maintain development programs for players.

  • Attend and assist with Fall Evaluations as well as other evaluation and development sessions.

  • Prepare and Deliver a season plan including off ice requirements, practice plans, and game line-ups.

  • Select qualified assistant coaches, team manager, and other team personnel as needed.

  • Attend CMHA Coaches meetings as required.

  • Develop an ongoing program that provides a consistent experience for players and parents.

  • Be a liaison with other division coaches in the association to develop a long-term program.

  • Successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Record check.
