The BC Provincial Health Order with reference to Gatherings & Events was updated October 25,2021 removing the previous vaccination requirement exemption from adults who are supervising and/or assisting in youth sport.
Adults, for the purposes of the Order, are defined as 19 years of age and older.
As we have consistently done, CMHA will be abiding by the terms of the Provincial Health Order. In order to ensure we are meeting the requirements of the PHO, the criteria of vaccination has been added to the team official / volunteer qualification criteria and the Team Manager or Head Coach is responsible for confirmation of vaccinations. While we are obligated to ensure we are following the requirements of the PHO, CMHA is also committed to respecting individual privacy. Accordingly, we are asking that one person, the Team Manager or Head Coach be responsible and accountable for ensuring the terms of the PHO are met by checking the vaccine cards for each of their team officials or volunteers. The attached Google Form must be completed and it will be submitted to the CMHA Registrar to confirm completion of this requirement. Any individual has the right to refuse consent to disclosing their vaccination status and those who decline to disclose this information will not be permitted in the arenas or to be rostered to the team. Team Official Vaccination Confirmation
Effective today, Planet Ice will not be permitting any unvaccinated adults to enter Planet Ice. Poirier Sport & Leisure Centre has not yet announced their specific facility guidelines and we will update as we are advised.
Thank you for your continued patience with, and adherence to, these seemingly constantly changing requirements.
