In 2017/2018 CMHA implemented our new Atom Development Program (Intro to Rep). Throughout the program we gathered information and documented processes, and at the end of the season conducted an online survey for the participants. We received an excellent response rate and we thank the participants who provided valuable and constructive feedback on their experiences.
In response to this feedback as we enter registration for the upcoming season, we are in the midst of making changes on the program. Together with our Hockey Directors, we are excited and engaged in this process and envision this as a pioneering methodology for player development that will showcase CMHA as a leader in this segment of the minor hockey population.
Prior to the start of the season, watch for our Parent Handbook that will guide you through our new program. It will provide our mission statement, philosophy, objectives and structures that will create the framework for the important work of developing our players.
We appreciate your continued support and we are grateful for your feedback. All of us are always striving to make CMHA a stronger and more positive community for our children and together we will accomplish that.
3rd Vice President
CMHA is now accepting applications and beginning the interview process for coaches for the 2018/2019 season. Our coaching application and submission instructions can be found under the Coach Corner tab. If you are wanting to coach for next season, please submit your application promptly.
CMHA will strive to have non-parent coaches in our A divisions but in the event that we have any teams that require parents as a coach, the coach shall not be named to the team until the team has been selected by independent evaluators.
Please feel free to contact our Coach Coordinator, Craig Fraser with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
CMHA is pleased to announce Jacqueline Ewonus as the successful candidate for the Program Coordinator position. Jacqueline has previous experience with our development programming as past 3rd Vice President and as the Chair of the Development Committee for a number of years. You can reach her at email@example.com with any questions.
CMHA is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Battista as our new Tournament Director. Most of you are familiar with Teresa already in her role as Facility Allocator and this will be an excellent fit for her. She will be seeking Tournament Committee chairs to step up shortly so please consider coming forward if you can help with the tournament in your division, especially if you have experience. You can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Teresa taking on this role leaves the Program Coordinator vacant and the posting is now active with an application deadline of June 1, 2018 . Please see the posting attached to this announcement.
