Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP)

All teams are required to have a designated “Safety” individual that is HCSP certified in attendance at all sanctioned events. The goal of the program is for the safety people to implement effective risk management programs with their own teams where player safety is the first priority at all times, both on and off the ice.

For more information:
    http://www.bchockey.net/RiskManagement/HCSP.aspx

The CHMA is hosting a HCSP clinic on November 22, 2009. CHMA is permitted up to 40 attendees. Any individual that requires HCSP certification should register ASAP as BC Hockey will open up registration to other associations in October. There will be similar clinics in other cities; however, please note that the host organization has first option for registration. The remaining spots are granted on a first come first serve basis.
