Welcome to Bantam

Posted by Bantam Coordinator at Jul 29, 2015 4:01PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

As the summer gets on and we get closer to Canada’s fourth season, I would like to introduce myself to all you Bantam parents. My name is Anh Diep and I am your new Bantam “C” Coordinator for the 2015-16 season. I am a father of three boys playing hockey in CMHA (third year Midget, second year Bantam and second year Peewee). My wife and I have both been heavily involved in giving back to CMHA (she, as the former treasurer for the association and I have been treasurer for several tournaments) we encourage all parents to give back by volunteering your time or expertise in helping grow the association.

I am new to the position of Coordinator so bare with me as I learn.

A few housekeeping items I need to mention:
- Returning player registration ended June 30th, 2015. If you are a returning player and have not/did not register by that date you will not be guaranteed a spot this year and may be on a waiting list.
- I will be your first point of contact regarding any issues you may have. Please do not approach the VP’s, President or Administrator prior speaking to me about your concerns. Please respect the Association’s hierarchy and do not go above my head with your concerns as it will only cause confusion and hurt feelings.

I can be contacted via email at or I will be around the rinks a lot.

Please see attached for details.

With Balancing Phase completed we all look forward to the season ahead. If you do not see your name please contact me via email ( ASAP so team lists in document tab can be corrected. If you have not been contacted by coach also contact me so I can ensure contact lists and emails are correct.

Also, please note that jerseys will be handed out by respective team coaches, so please ensure original jersey's are returned to coaches running the respective balancing groups during Phase 3 if you have not done so already. The coaches will need to retain their respective sets until new jerseys Wishing you all the best this season. Please feel free to contact me via email if you have any questions

I know everyone is anxious to get past this phase and move onto the season with set teams. As we approach the end of Phase-3 of the "Balancing groups" the Bantam C teams continue to be reassessed for any potential moves if and where deemed required.
As the regular game & practice ice times begin as of Oct 1st this weekend please note that as we strive to get all set there may moves required. While we strive to finalize all teams and allow the players to settle we know from experience that this process is challenging for all.
Besides the final evaluation games this week, there is also a mandatory PCAHA Coach and Managers meeting which requires all managers and at least one coach from each team to attend on Sept 29th in PoCo.
Please feel free to contact your managers with any questions or to email me directly if you have any questions at this time.

Bantam C, If you haven't seen the documents tab, please ensure you check for Balancing groups rosters and schedules regularly throughout Phase 3 in event that changes and updates are needed.

Balancing phase will wrap up by October 1st with a POTENTIAL rescheduled game which needs to be confirmed. Again please check in regularly until teams are set and your team roster and schedule systems are in place.

Again thank you for everyone's assistance in making this year go relatively smooth. If you have any questions please feel free to email to

Today is start of Phase 3 (Balancing Games). Each group will play 3 games by Oct 1st. Please stay posted to this page and document tab during this stage as we are confident that there will be movement before teams are set.

The coaches will be informed of all schedule and team movement but please feel free to forward any questions to

Also note that the Senior games have affected CMHA ice times so coaches have not been provided their regular home game and practice schedule for the year. As soon as this is provided we will share with you.

In the mean time let the games begin.... and see you at the rink
